Import a photo or add a text only meal to your path

Import a meal

If you used your phone's camera app to take a picture of your meal or had somebody else send the meal image over, that image can be imported from your camera roll for up to two weeks.

To do so, tap on " + Capture" in the bottom Navigation bar and tap on "Import". Select the desired image and add it to your timeline. Ate takes the original image timestamp and places the photo accordingly on your timeline. However, to change the original timestamp, simply tap on it during the import or later by visiting the meal detail.

Or add a meal manually, using Text-only

If you do not have a picture of your meal, you can always add your meal manually by adding a short description and setting the time manually up to a week in the past. This can be done by "Meal as Text" accessible by "+ Capture" in the bottom Navigation bar.

Be more mindful by...

Don't wait a week to track your meal as it is not the best option. It is more mindful and beneficial to record things when you eat them immediately and record the feeling right after.

It turns out that the less optimal choices are usually made because individuals simply do not remember what was consumed previously. Journaling allows you to remember and can be very beneficial to overall progress. But of course, things happen, and it is best to journal everything without messing things up on your Ate timeline with missed meals. The import or the add a text-only meal feature can make sure that everything has been added to your path.
